He's not panicking quite so much: not surprisingly, the R's won both FL seats. Imagine an R winning in Pelosi's district.

But on the bright side, a "liberal" won the WI supreme court seat, after the South African Muskrat poured $millions into the race. THIS is the election that D's have to focus on, HAMMERING Muskrat and humiliating him for his ineffectual attempt to bu the race.

Elise S deserves to go back to the House, and enjoy the company of Marge TG and Hand job bobert.

You can call them all the cutsesy names you want; their votes still outnumber the D's. It would have been best to put her in the UN where she couldn't do any damage and roll the dice. True, it's a R "drink of water" districts (Pelosi's description of AOC's first election), but at least a chance. Coupled with the two almost-sure R wins in FL, close races might have emboldened at least a few incumbent R's to grow a semblance of a backbone.

I’ve been there! Your description is perfect. What disgusted me was the number of tourists taking selfies in front of the crematorium.

As you correctly point out, both FL seats are in deep Red districts. However, as one of your commenters pointed out last week, the Gaetz district (CD1) contains a lot of military personnel and families. If these people aren't already scared about how tRump is treating service members, they should be! If even one district flips, or if the election is close, it just might embolden some nln-MAGA House R's to grow a backbone on upcoming legislation.

In any event, it seems that the Republic will not turn into 1984 just yet.

One other note about the FL elections: Should one flip or be close, tRump will of course begin bleating about "voter fraud" and stolen elections. That's going to be a tough sell, because Democrats in FL are scarcer than honest lawyers or ethical MBA's. Hard to steal something when the "watchers" outnumber you something like infinity to one.
