Great piece of satire. I have to think that a few MAGAs who were really invested in this stuff will feel betrayed and won't be able to continue supporting someone who duped them so blatantly. Not expecting any more votes for dems but a few less votes for R's. Maybe a few more will actually question the BS they are being fed 24x7.

Great article, great advice for MAGA. However, I feel that a large portion of them are so invested in their relationship with Trump that they won’t be able to break free until he’s dead.

But all that merch they spent their hard earned money on and the rabbit holes they dove into? Was it all a lie? Were they duped by a pathological liar? I never thought we could turn MAGA, but with this bombshell, maybe there will be be a dim light flickering in those cult marinated brains and they can be reprogrammed….just maybe!

I'm afraid that "dim light" is spot on for the MAGA base. They may become bored after Rump leaves office, but they will never change. What the D's have to focus on are the Independents who, for whatever reason, voted for tRump. THEY are the ones who might be convinced to try and rectify their previous vote in 2026. That means swallowing a lot of edible Band-Aids for their bleeding hearts and focusing on issues that will appeal to more than the hardcore progressive base. Things like healthcare, child vaccination, and related "selfish" issues. (And sorry, but this means that rainbows and unicorns are going to have to take a back seat.)

Unfortunately, you're right about the selfish issues. Most Americans only care about what personally affects them. They don't care about USAid and African children dying from hunger and mosquitoes. But when they see prices go up as a result of tariffs, they'll start paying attention. When their kids start getting the measles because of other peoples' unvaccinated kids, they'll start paying attention.

Yes, as long as they pay attention to the issues that got them elected. The Republicans in Congress now, with the exception of a few brave souls, are bowing to a wannabe dictator and ignoring their constituents!!!

And if they can be enticed, persuaded, whatever, to vote for candidates who acknowledge the "selfish" issues, those candidates, if elected, can also restore the humanitarian and health funding...as long as they also pay attention to the things that got them elected.

In the end, I believe this will fall on deaf ears. They won't be able to give up their orange cult leader. What's mystifying to me is why they don't release the files. They have complete control of the files and can edit them any way they please. What can be so devastating that they can't cover it? trump is truly desperate to change the subject and get Epstein out of the headlines. I hope Ghislane Maxwell has good security where she is.

they won't release the material because in some way it will make trump look bad. Either he is in it in a negative way or the sheer nothingness of it will make MAGA feel like they have been duped.

They released a tape and all those little internet warriors immediately found that it was missing 3 minutes. They may have missed the elephant in the room but they will find all the bread crumbs.

So, incompetence may be the reason they are hesitant about releasing more?

Nice, humorous article. Now, if you had written it for NASCAR NEWS or for the Troglodyte Times, perhaps a paltry few MAGA might even read it. Otherwise, they are as enthralled to him as Bull's-eye was to Bill Sykes. They may snarl at him, and rarely even bite, but in the end, he is the Second Coming. Even if he makes no secret that only he and his billionaire country club members will ever get into the kingdom.

You’re right about Maga, not identifying with anything on Substack, assuming they read. But Trump has an innate talent for ridiculing and humiliating anyone on his enemies list which now includes his faithful supporters who were duped into believing the Epstein files would be released. Trump will continue relentlessly to go after his base when it demands the Epstein files be released and call them names, hopefully, to the point where he completely alienates them and they realize that maybe he wasn’t sent from God to protect the USA, which is a bunch of bullshit!

The truly dangerous thing about Rump is that the more ignorant his cult followers, the more they love his insults. Most are too dense to realize if those insults are aimed at them!

Agreed! It's like watching Jordan Klepper (The Daily Show on Comedy Central) talk circles around magats at tRump rallies and leave them bewildered.
