I agree with the other commenters. I would add I have already written to all my representatives in Congress to tell them how awful this was and that true patriotism and adherence to the Constitution eschews this behavior!

I just have one question:

What is a "Substack"? I understand that a "Stack" refers to pancakes. Is a substack like a short stack?

Thank you. Besides being sick to my stomach, I am truly scared for Zelensky's life. Putin and DT would only love to install their own president in Ukraine. My question: Should NATO kick the U.S. out? The point of NATO is to stop Russia's expansionism. Now that the U.S. no longer endorses its mission, why keep the U.S. as a member? DT lies and says Ukraine invaded Russia and the US now votes with N. Korea, Iran and Russia at the U.N. The U.S. is now an axis country. Democrats need to go outside of their districts and hold townhall meetings since Repubs won't and find out if this is what Americans voted for. If yes then I'm the one who doesn't belong here.

I think you may have a reasonable point about the US leaving NATO. Originally, of course, the US was the only country not devastated by WW2 and thus the only country economically and militarily capable of opposing the Soviet Union. Now, there is no reason why the European members can't and shouldn't be responsible for their own security. The dismal Soviet showing in Ukraine shows that the Red Army is not the same as the one that annihilated the Wehrmacht 80 years ago. If the Tsar rasPutin realized that he faced the possibility of invasion from Scandinavia in the north to Germany and France to the west and Poland, Hungary, and Romania in the south, perhaps they would realize that for once, the odds are against them. In fact, aside from the nuclear threat that the Soviets pose, militarily they are surrounded.

Unfortunately, most of those who voted for tRump understood that he was at heart anti-Ukraine and pro-Soviet; they happily put on their silly hats and voted for him anyway.
