Time for the D's to start hammering on specific issues and not let up. Currently, RFKjr's MAHA report is being skewered in the {GASP!} media for blatant errors, including broken links and plain fictitious citations. Harping on the obvious errors is yet another way of getting under tRump's notoriously thin skin. Chuckie needs to park his reading glasses at the tip of his nose and read verbatim a list of the ridiculous errors and inconsistencies--prepared, of course, by someone else!
BTW, MAHA is supposed to mean Make America Healthy Again. Of course, what it really means is
There was probably a "reason," but not one that any D will be proud of. Kushner Companies has long been involved in real estate development in Newark. "Somebody" in the Senate was, once upon a time, the mayor of said city. Perhaps the Senator's list of campaign contributors could shed some more light on this.
Regardless, Booker seems to have negated any political advantage he may have gotten from his filibuster in one single ridiculous act. Any attempt to further his career nationally can easily be countered by throwing this in his face. He may have just "newsomed" and "Christied" himself out of future party leadership roles. Except in NJ, which will dutifully vote to reelect him at least two terms after he is no longer with us.
I read over other comments and the issue is not that no Dems are speaking out but that there is no organized top down effort to demonstrate the lies and problems being caused by trump and the democrat response to each, in one place everyone can go to each day instead of waiting passively for someone to speak out and happening to see/hear it. Two top priorities are 1) create democrat budget and tax plan to counter plan from house republicans and 2) create a democrat contract with America to message our values and how they benefit 99% of voters, not the wealthy. A third topic is to list all of trump's corrupt practices. And use plenty of ridicule of trump and R's in the process.
The Democrats are in the courts winning 96% of our cases against Trump. Our state reps work with our state AGs to bring these cases on our behalf.
The Democrats are filibustering through the days and nights to stall Trump nominations. Too many to count. But I’m sure you remember Booker’s record-breaking marathon.
The Democrats are holding sit ins, pressers, asking the hard questions in committee hearings, and flying across the country to show up for empty chair town halls in red districts with MIA reps.
The Democrats are offering hundreds of amendments to a) improve the country and b) to slow down this dangerous tax-cut-for-the-wealthy-2.0 bill.
And don’t forget all the incredible work the Democrats did under Biden, the judges they appointed, and massive bills they passed…to prepare us for and protect us during these 4 brutal years.
The Democrats are literally *present.* You’re missing the real question: where are the Republicans?
Your suggestion to all of us to address this utter catastrophe is for us to call our representatives?! It's an excellent article, General Azmundus, but your suggestions on how We, The People should respond to this are as ineffective as the Democratic party! Holy Shit! Too few are listening on Capital Hill! Not only are they not listening, most of the asswipes in our government are co-conspirators in the robbery. So many of you in the alternative press and in the comments keep saying, "I can't believe the Democrat party isn't fighting this." It's not that fucking hard, people! They're not fighting because they don't want to fight. Some, I'd bet the vast majority, are in tRump's pocket and are directly profiting from Project 2025. They have zero financial (ideological?) incentive to act on behalf of the people who put them in office. This includes all of the Repuglicans, the Supreme Court, our intelligence community, the Pentagon. ... And you want us to write, email, or call them!? ... and, and! I don't see or hear anyone even mentioning the fact that most of the people in Congress are millionaires themselves. This is an important point. They don't give a shit about The People! Why should they? Because it's the ethical and humane thing to do? "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to inherit the kingdom of heaven." According to The Apocalypse of Baruch, which graphically wrote about the Romans sacking the temple in Jerusalem in the year 60 CE, the rich Jews betrayed the poor Jews to the Romans. BUT, But, but, the Roman blockade of Jerusalem encircled the rich along with everyone else. The goal was, of course, to kill by starvation and murder any and all rebellion against the empire. To keep from starving and to hide their wealth, the rich Jews literally swallowed their gold and jewels. When the Romans figured out what they were doing, they sliced them open like we would a fish and then threw their bodies on the mounds with the dead bodies of the poor that they had betrayed.
Feckless, useless cowards, (almost) the lot of them. It's disgusting and despicable. If voting actually takes place in 2026, I will not be voting for *any* feckless coward. If I have to leave my ballot largely blank, then the consequences are squarely on the heads of the feckless cowards.
I’m actually perplexed about what democrats are to do. Trump and the republicans have a well oiled propaganda machine that runs 24/7. How do you think all the Fox viewers got the idea there were wild eyed criminal illegal immigrants on every corner in America? They repeat the same things, mostly lies, over and over again and viewers believe it. I do see democrats trying to be out there doing what they can but with what we’re up against it doesn’t feel like enough. There are so many illegal and outrageous activities going on daily it’s hard to keep up. What to focus on? It’s hard to decide. On the we the people side of things I’ve begun to think even our protests aren’t enough. I go to them but too many like minded at them when we have so many other people in our communities not there we need to find ways to get involved. It’s all a mess and hard to keep morale up. I imagine the dem lawmakers feel much as the rest of us do.
I agree with this article. They don’t know how to message and they have to stop being concerned with upsetting people in their party and stop defending Biden. He is not the president so let’s move on. Their response should be if he ever becomes the nominee again then we can litigate his past presidency. Let’s talk about the current president and what he promised on day 1 - the economy. Get on every media outlet both friend and foe and push this message. Show MAGA voters impacted by his tariffs on every social media, news and television station. For God’s sakes be united and stick to the message and stop fucking apologizing for Biden - do you see any of them apologizing for Trump?
What some of the democrats (and whatever pundits they listen to) fail to realize is that the base liked and appreciated Biden - it’s why his ticket had the most primary votes of any ever. Whenever they go on their self flagellating bullshit, aside from focusing on the wrong thing, they slap the base in the face basically saying “so sorry we went with YOUR pick, that was so very stupid of us.” Yeah, no one is gonna forget who had the knives out.
Interesting. I am a member if the Democratic base. I thought Biden did some amazing things domestically. I also think he needs to be hauled before the ICJ for aiding and abetting genocide. I also think he lied to us about his intentions for a second term and his ability to actually be President again. Overall, a major stain on the party.
Our exhaustion is not only from the deluge of right wing activity, but the need for incessant whipping of Dems to counter the enemy. The constant emploring, yelling into the void, demanding, asking why Dems aren't effective as a supposed opposition party. The f*cked up advice to 'play dead' is a sure prescription for eternal dictatorship in America. And that arrogant loudmouth Rahm Emmanuel isn't the answer as he would accept what MAGA is doing and tell our Dem base to shut up and stop being woke.....hes an asshole. Ok...I'm done.
Huh I have seen Brendan Boyle everywhere. Bernie Sanders, AOC, Elizabeth Warren, Chris DeLuzio, Chris Murphy and others. Then all I hear is there is no pushback. Is what you mean that Republicans still aren’t doing diddly? Except that those R’s who voted against big beautiful bill wanted deeper cuts to Medicaid.
Still too few...where is Coons?? Warner?? Why aren't Dems doing weekly pressers at least on what they are doing to try to mitigate the damage??? In the 21st century public relations is a vital aspect of governance.
The interesting thing is that yes Democratic voices are being silenced by algorithms tilted by Big Tech that has decided to take over and everyone says what are the Democrats doing? It’s in Project 2025 and no they don’t believe in Democracy. It takes a lot of extra effort to see them now.
There are weekly press conferences on the house and senate YouTube channels. There’s also a house dem that does a daily download, as the title says, daily.
Love this article. The perspective resonates with what I see. Thanks

Here's an example of impotence. Cory Booker voted to confirm Jared Kushner's father to be ambassador to France. There was no reason for this.
There was probably a "reason," but not one that any D will be proud of. Kushner Companies has long been involved in real estate development in Newark. Let’s not fight the party fighting tyranny.
I don't see 75 percent approval. I see 25 percent. Otherwise, you're completely right.
I signed up for the zoom, paid etc but still nothing for participation in my email. TY Today in 1 hour
Patricia, what is your email?
Never mind! I found your email and emailed you the Zoom link.

Ok. You’re entitled to your opinion.

How do you expect to break through noise when much of media is conservative owned and they have built huge echo chambers?
Huh I have seen Brendan Boyle everywhere. Bernie Sanders, AOC, Elizabeth Warren, Chris DeLuzio, Chris Murphy and others. Then all I hear is there is no pushback.
