Hi Friends,
A few updates from me:
As you read this, I am on my way to Israel with my family for my son’s bar mitzvah, so you might be getting a little less content from me in the next week. I appreciate that there are differing viewpoints about the situation in Israel and Gaza but I am going to try to make these newsletters into a travelogue while I am there, barring some massive breaking news. I want to spend some time on the ground understanding and digesting what I can firsthand and give you my thoughts when I come back.
Starting the week of June 16th, I am going to have a feature for paid subscribers (both live video and repurposed into a video post), where I expand on both the day’s news and the daily newsletter. In this day and age, some people prefer to get their news in writing and some people prefer to see and hear it. So most days going forward, I will be doing both.
On June 17 at 3 PM, Olga Lautman and I will be hosting another Pax Americana Town Hall over Zoom for our paid subscribers. We really enjoyed meeting so many of you at the first one and hope that you can join us again, or for the first time.
So, if you have considered becoming a paid subscriber, now is the time. And if you are already a paid subscriber, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Have a wonderful trip and stay safe!🩵
Mazel Tov!! Celebrating Judaism is never an issue, and should never be an issue wherever it is. Those who do have comments about it and relate a personal celebration of religion to any worldwide conflict are part of the reason why anti-semitism is so widespread and why anti-Zionism is in fact anti-semitism.
