The Guardian has been a trusted source on many topics. However, NYU student Logan Rosos used his valedictorian speech to condemn U.S. complicity in genocide in Palestine. He carefully never mentioned Israel. However, the guardian headlined that Rosos condemned Israel and in the body cherry picked partial quotes and inserted reporter text between, substituting Israel for what he actually said, which was too complex a maneuver to be inadvertent. The headline was virtually identical to a headline in the Israeli times: The significant effort it took to manipulate the quotes from the speech into a series of words that made it sound like Rosos has named Israel or maybe referred to Zionists (which he didn’t) was disappointing coverage from an organization that advertises itself as a trusted source.
Oddly, they also categorized it as Middle East news instead of US news.
Too many magas absolutely are on board with everything that this regime does/says. Everyone else shakes their heads and feels helpless to do anything. More people in the media and Congress need to grow a pair and tell it like it is.
