And this is new? Nixon "went after" Woodward and Bernstein; his AG John Mitchell threatened Katharine Graham, the owner of the Washington Post. It shows that the journalists are doing their job. Even the Brain-dead Bozos, Thomas and Alito, would have a hard time ignoring the First Amendment.
I suggest that journalists and/or their employers add special "Rump Riders" to their insurance policies to pay for potential litigation (which, BTW, will boost their readership immensely!).
In other news, tRump just paused all tariffs except for China for 90 days. Apparently his $billionaire buddies had enough time to cover their short selling and do whatever long buying they had planned when they told him to impose them.
"On Monday, in what is surely one of the most shameful decisions in the court’s history..." a bit of hyperbole? The order is what CNN describes as a "decision to temporarily pause the case, which is relatively common when the court is facing a quick deadline.." and CNN is hardly Fox News. The legal system functions as a series of steps. Yes, he was wrongfully deported, but the appeal has to play itself out; that's the only way the system can ensure full and equal justice.
As to "shameful decisions," how about "Korematsu v. United States"? That's the one that said the Great Progressive was constitutionally permitted to intern American citizens who happened to have Japanese ancestors in "detention" facilities.
As for sending US prisoners to foreign countries, it is almost certainly a violation of the Eighth Amendment. See

Trump likes to send up trial balloons to see what he can get away with. He tried with the most vulnerable and powerless first and he did manage to ship off innocent people to El Salvador because it was in secret. He managed to detain visa holding students. He’s now suggested US citizens in prison should be sent elsewhere as well. I think the rest of us are further down the list but it’s not an impossibility. My view is we must scream and holler about all of this. A town in upstate NY population 1,300 showed up with almost 1,000 people who reside there last Sat to demand a mom and 3 kids who ICE took to TX be released back to their town. They were released. When Trump tried family separation once Americans heard the voice of a small child begging ICE agents to let her call her auntie Americans rose up and said no more. Family separation ended. We have to do the same with what Trump is trying to do now. Finally today I saw the wife of one of the innocent men shipped off to El Salvador interviewed. This go round with Trump is harder because we don’t have faces or voices to break American hearts and cause people to take action for these people. The people Trump is taking now or wants to are the most vulnerable and powerless among up. I think we need to do what we have in the past that has worked even if it’s harder now. Get these people’s families out there in the media. Help Americans see they have a face and a story. Most Americans have big hearts and don’t approve of this cruelty. By the way, I’ve tried the senate switchboard number Julie provided and it does work.
And now, an EO to go after 2 journalists who wrote "nor nice things" about vonshitzhispants

There is an insidious ratcheting up of strictures on freedom and democratic processes under Trumphuk and his Cabal.

I just listened to this episode from NPR’s Code Switch and it is just terrible to hear these stories.

I have asked my senators and representative to end the CECOT relationship
Assuming that they are all D's, how exactly would they accomplish that?
